How to Adjust Display Settings on Remote Desktop Client
Using the new Windows Remote Desktop Client gives us lots of advanced features. One of the most important features and advantaged over the RDWeb Portal is the ability to span the Session Desktop Window across multiple screen. The default setting for the app is to use all your monitors. But if you'd like to only display the Session Desktop on one screen, you can adjust that.
1) When you first launch the Remote Desktop client app, right click on the Session Desktop button > Settings.
2) It will toggle the settings pane on the left of the window. Turn off the "Use Default Settings" button to view more options. Then select the dropdown box under Display Configuration. Use Single Display to use the Session Desktop to only one monitor. You can also do select displays to specify which screens if you have more than 2.
The Remote Desktop Client will save your selection as your default setting for the device. Next time you log in, it will automatically pull your settings.
