Windows App Replacing Remote Desktop
As of 9/16/2024 Microsoft has deprecated the Remote Desktop Application (see icon below) we have been using to access Session Desktop, this means it will gradually stop working if you haven't started to have issues with it already.
We have pushed out a replacement called Windows App to everyone's machine, see below for icon
If your machine happens to be missing Windows App you can install it from the Microsoft Store, see screenshot below
Please submit a ticket to helpdesk@romanoffgroup.cc if its not installed and you either can't find it in Microsoft Store or Microsoft Store isn't letting you install it.
When you open it for the first time it will ask you to login with your Romanoff email and password, will likely trigger your Microsoft Authenticator as well.
After logging in you should see something similar to the below for Session Desktop, click on Connect
It may ask you to login again but you should be able to save credentials so it doesn't always ask.
Windows App should behave the exact same as Remote Desktop once you are in Session, just looks a little different.
If you would like to have Session Desktop on only a singe monitor instead of taking up all of them follow the below directions and screenshot
Click 3 dots next to "Connect">Change "Use Default Settings" to "Off">Click on "All Displays" under "Display Configuration">Select "Single Display"
If you run into issues or your machine is missing the Windows App please submit a ticket to helpdesk@romanofgroup.cc
