How to Register Your Email Through the Outlook Mobile App
In order to keep your account secure, you will need to register 2 verification method out of 3 options available.
- Register your phone number - use this option to receive text message One Time Passcodes.
- Register security questions
- Register Authenticator App - download the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone and add your Romanoff email to receive push notifications. Easiest and most secure method.

Open Outlook on the ipad. Your email address should already be populated. Hit the “add account” button.
The next screen will prompt you for your password. Enter the temporary password provided by IT and click "next" on the More Information Required prompt to begin registering your authentication methods.
Choose "I want to set up a different method" at the bottom and choose "Phone".
Enter your phone number on the blank line, click next, then enter the code in the box. Once you have successfully verified your phone number, click next.
Now you'll need to register your second verification method. To answer security questions, choose "I want to set up a different method" at the bottom and choose Security questions.
Choose and answer 3 security questions from the drop downs. When you're finished, click done.
*These are the security questions you will use to reset your own password from Office.com. So PLEASE set answers you can remember. More info on resetting your own password using SSPR: How to Reset Your Password from Office.com
When you are finished registering your 2 verifications methods, you will see 2 green checks under "phone" and "questions". Click done.
Finally reset your password. In the "current password" field, type your temporary password provided by IT, then choose a new password. Click sign in.
